PAAD Program

QUALIFYING RESIDENT: A RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY HOMEOWNER, WHO UTILIZES THE UNIT AS THE DWELLING HOUSE OF THE SYSTEM AND MEETS THE STATUS CRITERIA FOR THE PHARMACEUTICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND WHO POSSESSES A VALID IDENTIFICATION CARD UNDER THE PAAD PROGRAM.

The PAAD Program applies to any RESIDENT within the Authority’s district who is 65 years or more of age, or less than 65 years of age and is permanently and totally disabled according to the provisions of the Social Security Act or under any federal law administered by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs where the disability is rated 60% or higher (c 215 P.L. 1992 and c 78 P.L. 1994) and meets status criteria for the pharmaceutical assistance program and who possesses a valid identification card under the PAAD program would automatically qualify for an adjustment in their base water and sewer rate.

Annual recertification of qualification will be required and shall be up to the qualifying resident to reapply prior to July 1st. of each succeeding year.

As a reminder, the Authority on an annual basis will forward notification to the qualifying resident(s) advising them that their application must be renewed. A copy of their renewed application together with a copy of their PAAD card must be submitted to the Authority. Failure, to comply may result in discontinuance of the PAAD discount.

Bring the completed application to the Authority Business Office, located at 372 South Main Street, Williamstown, N.J., together with your PAAD card. The Clerk will be more then glad to accept your application and answer any questions you may have regarding this program.
